CNPq launched in November a new version of Lattes Curriculum, featuring new functionalities and data crossing. The event coincides with the 10th anniversary of Lattes database.
Two agreements were made in order to guarantee better quality to the information provided, one with Thompson Reuters and other with the Federal Revenue of Brazil (Brazilian IRS). These agreements were made aiming importation or exchange data with these institutions databases.
Another interesting functionality is the collaboration Network, where the user will be able to visualize graphically the co-authors network of a researcher, assuming the co-author also has a Lattes curriculum. This network is composed by other researchers who worker together with the author in published scientific articles.
Furthermore, other minor alterations will be continually implemented in several areas of the system, such as adding fields and the module “Patents and Registries”, layout and navigability changes, user support and technical improvements, as well as detailing and validation of data, in order to increase security.
At the year of Lattes Database 10th anniversary, CNPq does continuous actions of improvement for Lattes Curriculum, aiming constantly at the reliability of data, the interactivity and the necessities of a growing Brazilian System of Science and Technology.
