CNPq signs agreement with Thomson Reuters
The National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) signed an agreement with Thomson Reuters for access to Web of Science™, the world’s largest citation environment of the highest quality scholarly literature.
Web of Science is currently the leading database of scientific information, providing researchers, administrators, faculty and students access to more than 11,000 actively covered, high impact journals and 110,000 conference proceedings, totaling 45 million documents and more than 1 billion cited references. The agreement signed by CNPq and Thomson Reuters provides online access to the number of citations in Web of Science for the articles registered in Curriculum Vitae Lattes with their digital document identifiers (DOI).
In addition to access to the number of citations of the articles, the agreement provides also for researchers to know which articles and authors have cited them.
To retrieve the number of citations of the article, it is necessary that the researcher make sure that the DOI, the journal, volume, issue and pages (first and last) are registered properly. Another way to ensure the complete registry of the articles and its correct identification on the Web of Science, is by using the button Data recovery from the DOI itself (which makes it easy to complete and guarantee the accuracy of the data), available at module Papers in Journals of CV Lattes.
