CNPq has made institutional arrangements in order to increase the visibility, utility and reliability of the information contained in the Platform Lattes, and partner institutions have used this information to expand the resources made available to their users.
The integration of the Platform Lattes with databases of other institutions, such as SciELO, LILACS, SCOPUS, Crossref, universities databases, has made available to the user the ability to access other relevant information from the curriculum of the researcher.
The Lattes Platform is a free admission database service, both in regard to entry on the recovery of information through the Internet.
Despite being public information, education, research and innovation institution from Brazil have asked the CNPq data access to the curriculum and research groups of their teachers, researchers, students and employees with purpose of integrating the data from Lattes to their information systems, generating Internal indicators of scientific and technological production, providing studies through the application of data mining tools, and for supporting the implementation of management policies.

Accordingly, the Agency provides two ways that allow access to data of Lattes Platform:

1. Mirroring

This model is aimed to Brazilian Governmental Institutions responsable for supporting research activities in their states, and make available full data from the Platform Lattes, and the daily updated of curricula and research groups, to replicate and update their Lattes mirrors.
To apply to be a mirror of the base Lattes, the institution should send a memorandum to the presidency of CNPq, duly completed and signed by the Director of the Institution, explaining the purpose for the mirroring.

2. Extration of CV and Research Groups of the Institution

The extraction of CV and Research Groups is available to all educational, and research institutions, wishing to obtain the data from their research groups, teachers, researchers and students registered in the Platform Lattes.
The institutions interested should send a letter to the presidency of CNPq, duly signed by its maximum leader, containing the purpose and destination to be given to the data to be extracted.
Institutions that have already signed Memorandum of Technical Cooperation with the CNPq, has guaranteed right of access to extraction, just forward mail to the presidency of CNPq formalising the request.

The data obtained through the two types of agreement, will always be defined as a standard XML with the Community Conscientias, responsible for the standardization of existing information in Lattes Platform.
